Fischer’s Books

Of David Hackett Fischer’s books, only The Great Wave and Paul Revere’s Ride are available on Questia. Washington’s Crossing just came out a few years ago so they may not be ready to release it for Questia yet. While Washington’s Crossing is a great read on its own, it does take up the story pretty much where Paul Revere’s Ride ends. He also intends to write a follow up to Washington’s Crossing which should cover the Philadelphia campaign. But it might be a while as he is currently working on The Ebony Tree, a follow up to Albion’s Seed on African Folkways in America. He also once mentioned the possibility of a book on George Washington and Leadership. I don’t’ know if he was entirely serious, but I thought it was a good idea. Washington’s Crossing is certainly one of the best descriptions of the methods and function of good leadership that I have ever seen. Far better than the standard business publishing fare.
