If anyone wants to hear a really good performance of a baroque opera or just want to hear an exquisite performance by a young, soon-to-be star, soprano you should listen to Tuesday’s performance from the Royal Albert Hall Proms. William Christie conducted the Glyndebourne Festival Chorus and the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment. Danielle de Niese, a 25 year-old soprano from LA, gave an incredibly moving performance as Cleopatra.
