The house that Murdoch built
Much of this blog, my writing and teaching has revolved around topics of the decline of journalism, communication, political discourse, the ability of Americans to separate issues from distractions, facts from opinions, etc. While these large and complex cultural factors are beyond the control of any individual or group, recent events remind me that Rupert Murdoch may have done more than any other individual to foment and accelerate that decline.
