I had no idea the impact this book would have on me at the time I read it. In fact, I believed that I did not like the book very much. Only when I happened to reread it again more than a decade later at a friend’s suggestion did I realize that I had been using phrases, stories and aphorisms from the book for years—having completely forgotten where they came from.
